I fought in a wonderful Longsword tournament yesterday. I did not bedazzle with my mastery. But there was a moment with a fellow Fiore scholar: we played chess out of range with posta until he committed to an attack. I threw an imbroccota from a Marazzo posta, not Fiore. He was floored…literally.

Keep reminding us. Societies without societal memory become arrogant, self-righteous and capable of the worse of human behavior….
