It’s something I have real issue with in that PR space - a lack of any oomph, or thought, or creativity. I used to do film premieres a lot and stopped because at every stage the way they’re run is just…lacking. So much could change for the better but there’s no drive to. So this I’m like

I have seen boring ass red carpet questions like “what non-musical theatre song would your character like” - imagine if the press pen had been full of people who actually care about the show that’s been adapted for screen?

it’s 2am so everyone is in bed and it’s safe for me to speak my truth - i think it was astronomically lazy that the PR team working the London premiere of Wicked, which happened in the heart of theatreland, made 0 effort to invite Theatre Content Creators to be in the press line.
