Thank you for writing this. I hadn’t considered the role of money in all its various forms and functions through out the film. Made me reconsider its role everywhere in the film.

My architecture column today. "To show off these structures that are being developed in Chicago, I think it’s a really beautiful art," Chicago Architecture Center Chief Marketing Officer Lauren Bakos said. "And it’s sad that it’s kind of a dying one."

The first Star Wars episode they did was the best. They tried to do it again later in that first series but it didn’t quite have the magic of that first go.

Ended up seeing that as a rental later on but 100% the same reaction. Mesmerizing.

Actually it was the Lowes Piper Theater. I went to the 8pm show on Friday 11/04/94 and paid 7.50 for the privilege.

I saw Clerks at the Mclurg Court Theater in Chicago. The same theater I saw Pulp Fiction, Heat, and a reissue of The Wild Bunch.

Most of that went to the marching band

I read the script before I saw the movie and was really excited for it but outside of a few great moments, it was a bit of a disappointment for me. It just felt flat.

Leigh Brackett was one hell of a great Sci-Fi and Noir author. Leigh wrote the original script for The Empire Strikes Back. She wrote three of Howard Hawks’ toughest Westerns and co-wrote two of the best Raymond Chandler movies ever made. She was also Ray Bradbury’s best friend.

This is Jerry Lawson. He invented the video game cartridge for the Fairchild Channel F system. Because of his invention, many consoles had cartridges and CD formats and would become the norm.

The Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, and many consoles wouldn't exist without him.
