The seminar features two speakers: Kristina Bailey, MD from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, presenting on "Lung Tissue Biobanking at the University of Nebraska Medical Center." Her research focuses on the impact of alcohol use disorder on lung health and the role of the UNMC lung biobank. Gregory Marcus, MD, MAS from the University of California, San Francisco, presenting on "Adventures in Lifestyle Research and Arrhythmias: Conventional Wisdom Collides with Evidence." His presentation discusses the effects of alcohol, caffeinated coffee, and tobacco smoke on atrial fibrillation and arrhythmias. More and More Americans Are Forgoing Alcohol. Why? The percentage of adults in the U.S. who report drinking alcohol is at a record low, according to a new poll.
