Having lived in the Russian River Valley region of California where some of the most acclaimed Pinot comes from, to see a rush for Santa Barbara county wines is silly especially when you still have Monterey Pinot which blows SB way the fuck out of the water.

Yeah it’s just an okay film. It’s also wild how it straight up ruined Merlot growth futures for an entire decade in the wine industry. But again, that’s all I glean from it.

No you’re right the Payne/Giamatti collaboration hype is a bit absurd considering Sideways was like 19 years ago and only gets brought up in conversation about either person or just wine.
