1/ PM Carney: you can and must categorically rule out participation in this illegal war.

Your unqualified support of Trump and Netanyahu’s war was bad enough. It’s unconscionable that you’re now considering putting Canadian forces in harm’s way.

never, ever, ever, ever accept "how will you pay for it?" as an argument against social programs.

First choice is @votetanille.bsky.social because she seems sincere and ethical. 2nd choice is Lewis who is saying the right stuff and I’m hopeful but worry it’s performative. The others seem like status quo or deeper irrelevance.

Sure, for now. But things change. Trudeau in 2015, Layton in 2011. People shouldn’t assume things will stay the same. Parties and candidates still need to do the work. Overconfidence may lead to disappointment

Look how quickly this changed just last year. I wouldn’t assume anything.

Canadian-led team uncovers ‘ghost galaxy’ made almost entirely of dark matter A Canadian-led team has identified an entire galaxy that’s almost completely invisible and a reminder that there’s a lot about the universe astronomers still don’t understand.

I would totally check out a band called Ghost Galaxy

Even with all the questions this India trip brings up, there might be a few more questions about actively supporting an illegal war against Iran.

02.03.2026 12:30 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

Trump’s attack on Iran violates UN rules Canada has agreed to uphold. It contradicts numerous values PM Carney claimed he supported in Davos. Endorsing illegality, violence, & destruction over dialogue and peaceful resolution is not what Canadians were promised, or support.

My thoughts are with Iranian Canadians and Canadians in the region who fear for their safety and the safety of their loved ones.

PM Carney offering his support to Trump in his actions against Iran is not representative of Canada’s culture of humanitarianism and respect for international law.

2/ The United States and Israel have launched an illegal act of war while Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu speak openly of regime change. This is what Prime Minister Mark Carney says he supports.

If nothing else, the misspelling of “Canada” should give a hint

28.02.2026 17:04 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

My heart is also with Iranian Canadians and everyone terrified for the safety of their family and friends in the region.

Canada must unequivocally condemn these grave breaches of international law.

So the war that does not have congressional approval, already has Canadian approval? Are we just going to knock over liquor stores with Trump next?

28.02.2026 13:42 — 👍 183    🔁 50    💬 14    📌 3

I know Canada’s electorate is mainly focused on the economy right now, but the abject failure of the Carney government to offer even token support for international law should be a real black eye.

A complete abandonment of Canadian values at a critical moment in global history.

Bombing Iran in the middle of negotiations, while starving Cuba, while genociding Palestinians, while threatening to invade Greenland… the US and Israel are the single greatest threat to humanity and it’s not even close. We are all forced to live in the nightmare they create.

A screenshot of Rachel Dratch from SNL. She's a white woman with short dark hair and blue eyes, and she's making an awkward expression that implies, "Sorry I have to tell you this and ruin your good time. But also I'm kind of not sorry about it." I've added a subtitle that reads, "That's AI."

Like say, and I'm just spitballing here, safe injection sites.

“People try make everything political” says young dumb lad who is allowing himself to be used as a political prop by a politician who is reviled by the majority of Americans.

Both the Liberals and Conservatives have decided that cabinet ministers should literally be above the law. This is a fundamental rejection of the very idea of laws. Either laws matter or they don't, and Canada's two biggest political parties just announced that they don't.

No different in #cdnpoli. Our Charter rights are routinely debated and increasingly overridden by provincial govts. Rights are rights always. Once you start putting conditions on them to appease small groups of people for "reasons", rights just don't exists anymore. #abpoli

Is the president mocking the U.S. women’s hockey team on a celebratory call with the men’s team going to attract even an iota of the sustained handwringing that the idea of trans athletes disadvantaging women’s sports has gotten
