I do not understand the concern about lower birthrates...ok, I get the economics bit. But I grew up in the 1960s and the ethic I internalized was Zero population growth or no more than two children per couple. Just replace ourselves. Better for the family's finances. Better for the planet.

This was an excellent report with "blame" or causes apportioned 50/50 and complexities outlined, explaining the necessity of coordinating bridge protections with cargo ships expanded size for efficient transport. Lots of moving pieces.

I was in Capitola for brunch yesterday and mourning the loss of Wharf House restaurant to winter storms. If that feels sad, what must it be like to lose your home, your neighborhood, your entire town, to fire?!?
