I hate to say that,
but UI/UX are to become a history within 10 years.

AI chat is the new user interface. Everything a good UI can do, AI chat can do better and faster.

Chat is the most natural interface. Gen Z use chats all their life.

If your app does not have a chatbox, you'll be outcompeted.

- Sugar made people sluggish
- Tiktok made people easily distracted
- Video games made people addicted to fake progress
- Influencers made people watchers, not doers
- AI makes people lazy

Simply avoiding these obvious traps automatically puts you in the top 1% of makers 🤷

4. The money is also here: I had a $16k MRR SaaS. Costs: ~$3k for servers/tools/salaries. The rest is my. ALL OF IT. I could afford decent living in any place of the world.
5. No investors, no board, no begging, no daddies. You keep control.
6. Fair & simple game: make users happy → get paid.

2. Modern tools and frameworks make it easy to build a SaaS.
3. Founders are active on 𝕏. Create good content, make easy b2b sales.

Wanna make it out of poverty? You do not need $100M to get a decent quality of life. That is a wrong goal.

Bootstrapping, of course! 🤗 2025 is the best way to go bootstrapped:

1. AI agents take the routine work from you (devops, support, SEO).

Do you think girls will start thinking you are hot? Fast car makes you cool? 1st line South Beach villa makes you feel like you’re living? Your dad will say “son I'm so proud of you”?
Big money NEVER worked that way for anybody. Not even close.

Yes, you can get crazy rich after an exit. The chance of that is tiny, but it is there.
Still want to try getting in the lucky cohort of 0.1%? 🤑🤪🤩

Ok, cool.
But why?

VC aren’t your friends. You can’t say “hey I don’t think pivoting to an AI product just because it is hyping is a good idea”. If you say so, they will just fire you and get a new guy who will nod, smile, and push it to the limits instead of you.

If they need to see big numbers, they will force you to release shit product, sell user’s privacy. Even sign a contract with Satan if he brings x100.
Because why not?

1. make BIG money
2. avoid making small money

Big money means big numbers. They will force you to scale aggressively. Even if it harms your product, users, you.

My message to all first time makers:

What is NOT the goal of a VC:
1. make you rich
2. pay your bills
3. keep you away from burning out
4. give you good compensation
5. make a great product
6. make users happy
7. “change the world”

A directory can be used as a source of passive income or as an asset for sale, or as a relevant traffic source for your main project. I myself run 8 dirs.

It is only possible if you are deeply immersed in something. Such pains can't be just googled. They are sensed while being in the context for a long time.

The key of this method is to find a real pain in the ass. Something that makes people slam the desk and say obscene words 😡

Examples of such problems: African hair type barbershops (Africans have thicker hair so it is hard for them to find a proper barber), self-hosted discord alternatives, halal food in non-Muslim countries, small businesses lost in complex tax systems <- those are just my imagination, you need to find

7) You get viral effect. People promote your directory for you because you touched their feelings. It is not about your site, it is about the idea. Your site must be nothing but a representation of what they feel.

4) Leave the ones that can be solved via a directory site.
5) Make such a directory.
6) Post it on Reddit.

2) ✨ The hard part: turn on your creativity and opportunistic vision. Carefully look around. Talk to your boss, clients, partners, and colleagues. Notice what makes you/them irritated or what is highly unfair or what needs to be improved x100.
3) Collect such extremely painful problems.

1) You must have a full-time job. Preferably in a money-making niche (jewelry, B2B, finance etc).

It is way trickier. Thus, not for everybody. But it does not require you doing SEO routine like posting on listicles/writing blog posts etc.

If you diligently did every step, you have a chance of getting SEO traffic, which you can monetize with affiliate links or ads.

8) Make a directory that solves the problem: making slides with AI.
9) Find relevant keywords and populate your directory with them.
10) Google "i made a list of places to post your site".
11) Post your site to each of them (or use @listingbott if you are rich).
