I think gen AI usage in Tokusatsu is problematic and not just for the typical reasons.

Toku as a genre is one that emphasizes style over verisimilitude, where being distinct matters more than looking good. This is a thing American adaptations usually fail to understand about it.

Elevator Action Returns used on the cover of the Sega Saturn release in Japan as well as for advertising. My attempt to restore the artwork of #ElevatorAction Returns used on the cover of the #SegaSaturn release in Japan as well as for advertising. Used different sources to fill in bits, taking some liberties, applying the usual upscale/clean/retouch combo. No clue on the artist.
