Enroll through UC Online by January 6th! 1) Global Mental Health (GLBH 171R) - GMH recognizes mental, neurological, or substance use disorders as the leading causes of disability worldwide and works to counteract social stigma and discrimination commonly associated with such conditions. 2) Women's Health, Gender, and Empowerment (PBHLTH W108) - The course aims to expand students' understanding of the interconnected factors that influence women's health and empowerment - including foundations of sexual and reproductive health, economic development, political frameworks and global reproductive rights, demographic and social changes, basic principles of empowerment theory, educational opportunities, and efforts to ensure gender equity.
3) Global Health Ethics (PUBHLTH 174) - This course provides a foundation for understanding and application of key issues in global health ethics. Emphasizes competencies needed to practice global health during outbreaks, pandemics, emergencies and disasters, which raise several ethical issues for health professionals, first-responders, researchers, and government agencies.
4) Migration and Health (PH 114) - Provides an introduction to the history, current status, and future of migration and health using the social determinants of health model to foster a multidisciplinary analysis of the status of migrant health around the world.
