Thanks, Linda. I donโ€™t love the term either. But functional capacity to communicate/socialise/learn is crucial for interacting with NDIS eligibility/funding rules (s24). Whatever we call it, we need all the help with can get from aphasia experts on measuring/tracking it better.

Fair point, though challenging to do given current funding/insurance/ workforce constraints in Aus. Some clients explicitly state they want to learn to โ€œinteract appropriatelyโ€ in specific places, includ when theyโ€™ve been denied service or simply want to get the right order w/o fuss or frustration.
