Firefighters from Tara Street fire station were called to a fire against a premises in the early hours of this morning.

The fire was extinguished using a high pressure hose reel and the building was ventilated using a positive pressure fan.

The Big Chop takes place this Friday on top of our 42m Turntable Ladder.

All money raised will be used to send members of @oscarskidsire to Lapland this Christmas.

Phibsborough firefighters were called to a vehicle fire earlier today.

Smoke was visible in the area but the fire was prevented from spreading any further.

All at Dublin Fire Brigade are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague and friend David Stafford, Badge 750.

David was an exceptionally well-liked and well thought of young man and Firefighter/Paramedic.

He will be sorely missed by all, especially his crew in North Strand.

The road has since reopened. Traffic is heavy in the area.
