Intrigued by the possibility of interplay between McCay and Ivan Bilibin in this 1900 era. Parrish too obviously.

A Supergirl comic page penciled by Carmine Infantino and inked by Bob Oksner.

The ink job by Oksner on this Infantino page is a miracle. He manages to preserve Carmine's style, while de-wonking it just enough to make Supergirl gorgeous and the drapery elegant and expressive. He didn't just preserve the pencils, he improved them. A lost art. Ignore the nutty zip on the rug!

Kind of a train wreck from the pov of storytelling protocol. The vertical stacking of panels 2,3, and 4 is a violation, but is saved by the intervention of *ahem* the letterer and the aggressively overlapping “AGENT JASPER SITWELL at your service..” balloon.

Reading Terminal Mkt is right across the street: lots of good (if touristy) options.

May ordinary folks rock up, get tickets, and come on in?
