Finished a sci-fi short story with this as a prompt: A story about two god-like beings who battle for mining rights on the planet Mars.

Ugh, covid sucks BUT I'm still planning my current sci-fi work in progress though I did take yesterday off what with a 102 fever and all

I'm up to 824 reach and 2 post engagements on my Facebook ad for my new sci-fi book! $13.10 spent and 2 orders. Good? Bad? I really have no idea right now

I'm up to a reach of 455! But still only 1 post engagement 😢 I think I may suck at writing ads....

There's 9 but 3 of them were snowed in

No way. That's definitely for a real business operating out of rural central Mississippi

As of right now, 1 day into the ads, I've reached 454, had 1 post engagement, and spent $8.86

I think I may have sold 1 copy of the $2.99 book. Having a hard time seeing the upside of buying ads right now...

in my sci-fi Android Hunters Universe I think of Titans and gods of mythology when writing androids. I don't base the characters off the Titans and gods, it's just what I imagine based on everything I've read over the years

It was in China. I know that sounds bad but China is known for censoring an absurd amount of things, so it's not surprising works were left off the ballot for "no reason". The reason is someone in the Communist Party didn't like something. Sucks, but WorldCon wanted to hold their party there

I first read this as "diverse CATS". 😆 Locked In by Scalzi would be a good fit. Been a while since I read it but I'm pretty sure there's no romance or if there is it's super minor and plays no role in the story

You're welcome! I live in Florida and the only thing in the vein of mobile libraries is The Little Free Library people put in their lawns. It's super cool but the mobile part is people walking to it.

I love mythology. Just everything about it and not just limited to Greek and Roman. Though Android Hunters Universe is greatly inspired by Greek/Roman mythology. Gods, Titans, Heroes. Everything is big and bigger than big!

What are androids in the Android Hunters Universe? Well, I got much inspiration from Battlestar Galactica. Only the androids in AHU are a hell of a lot more evil

I don't see the problem. The Hugos and all award shows are just a popularity contest that the best marketed win. Sure it's fun to win awards but it's all just opinion based

Reading ARMOR by John Steakley for the first time. It's precisely the type of story my writing has drifted towards over the years... It's a super good read too (Armor)

By and by, writing sci-fi is cathartic. Like right now I can be a human, and then a dog, and then an alien. All without leaving my room

Why I can't write a dog that dies into my stories. They're too wonderful to envision such a thing happening
