the funniest thing about AAA vs Indie discourse is that it is a truth universally ackonwledged outside of video games that working for a small business is literally the worst torment it is possible for a man to experience and would take a faceless evil corporation 100 times out of 100

The reason why this universe ultimately failed was because they needed to sell a second character that audiences liked after the success of Venom. They couldn't do that yet somehow believe they can have 4+ strikes and still get on base

If you want something that reads the exact opposite I recommend Njal’s saga. It’s 13th century Icelandic saga recounting a 50 year period. Half the book is guys sitting down and hashing stuff out in meetings, and the other half is wildly petty honor killings

MFW the AI bubble bursts

If I had to make a blind timeline guess I’d say the bubble pops by October 2027 (probably this year) and the market stabilizes around 2030 (assuming we don’t have a full on depression)

My uninformed take on A.I (since that appears to be on the weekly discourse docket) that it’s clearly leading to a bubble that will cause a sizable chunk of investors and companies to back out of the field and that it’s not worth speculating on AI’s long term potential until we’re past that
