Okay fair enough, however doom 3 is basically a reboot given how much of ID had left and the tonal and mechanical differences

Like the perspective “I grew up and now this series is lame” used to only be for remakes and reboots.

I do think this is reflective of a problem with AAA gaming the first and last game in a trilogy have such a long dev time that people are able to make complaints like this

Steam sale haul

I tried the demo for Beyond Horizon and I've definitely got concerns about how cohesive the whole package is, but I think it's one of the most mechanically interesting indie shooters I've seen in years.

For me I blame the steam sale uncanny valley. That people complaining about this already have 200+ game libraries. Therefore they already have most of the stuff they want that's on a good sale. And most of the rest of the games they want are too new to get heavy discounts.

Bad! Most of the performances in this are fine for what they are (I don't even hate Brendan winning the Oscar for this) but movie just doesn't work. The drama feels unearned and the gross out elements are goofy schlock
