Sorry for delay - been off grid for a few days. I've never seen the Pearlescent Waxcap in the flesh but that looks like a match to me. I was looking at some G. reginae this week with similar (except for colour) gills so I'd go with that id.

Another of the topnotch Waxcaps is the Blushing Waxcap (Neohygrocybe ovina). This year it is fruiting in a smaller size than I normally get here, but that earthy mix of browns and greys and the bright red colour that quickly results from bruising are distinctive.

My favourite Waxcap now fruiting. The Splendid Waxcap (Hygrocybe splendidissima) is a somewhat similar colour to the much more common Scarlet Waxcap but the cap shape is different and the stipe is usually stout, twisted and contorted. The species can smell faintly of honey. #FungiFriends #Waxcaps

The Wacaps are arriving in droves here now - after a slow start. This is an uncommon one which I recorded here two years ago and it's fruiting again. The Papillate Waxcap (Hygrocybe subpapillata). #FungiFriends #Waxcaps

First Waxcap of the year here - much later than usual. I'm interested to see whether lots more species occur soon or whether it might be a poor Waxcap season.
This is the Golden Waxcap (Hygrocybe chlorophana). #waxcaps

Skinny Club (Clavaria incarnata). After reading @coal-spoil-fungi.bsky.social post (on another media platform) I checked my Meadow Waxcaps to see if there were Skinny Clubs fruiting in association. The answer is yes - six or seven instances spotted and no Skinny Clubs anywhere else. #fungifriends

My first Bluesky post - found in a local cemetery,
I'm assuming it's a brownish form of Olive Earthtongue (Microglossum olivaceum s.l.) but I think the taxonomy of Earthtongues is a bit up in the air at the moment
