Despite lifting its "state of emergency" on 31 Jul, the illegal junta maintains martial law in 63 townships.

The junta launches continuous air strikes on civilians in areas under martial law.

The illegal junta has imposed a new election law that carries the death penalty and effectively criminalizes any opposition to the sham election. It will likely conduct mass arrests as the sham election draws near.
