And for the first time since the dashboard has been up, Mpox Clade has been detected in wastewater.
Mpox Clade II was detected in wastewater in Colorado Springs - Las Vegas Utility.
There has been a case of Measles in a Broomfield high school student. There have been a LOT of exposures in Broomfield, Louisville and Lafayette.
Unvaccinated exposed students are being told to stay home.
Its been a bad day for Pubic Health in colorado.
Measles.
Mpox.
An entire School district closed for illness.
Ellicot School District (east of the springs) is closed for illness and cleaning. No info on why.

To sum it all up?
RSV is continuing to run wild, Flu B is ramping up.
There has also been another significant Measles exposure at DIA and a Littleton church.
Early Measles symptoms resemble the Flu, please mask up to protect others if you develop symptoms.
The wastewater data looks a little funky again, with 80% of all reports from all utilities on 2/17 below detectable levels. The data looks a little fishy.
COVID trends and levels are down, Flu A detections are down. Flu B Detections are up. RSV detections hold steady.
Pediatric Flu Hospitalizations climb, as a Flu B wave begins in the Pediatric population.
RSV remains very high with no sign of slowing.
Children's hospital also warns of a wave of pneumonia as a secondary infection from strep infection in their patients.
This flu season is now the 2nd worst on record, behind only last year.
More concerning, the Flu B wave is looking concerning. We've had more Flu B admissions (197) this year than ALL last year (186).
There's a chance we will meet last year's record if the Flu B wave continues.
Hospital Admissions (comparing to initial #s for last week)
Covid: 89, down from 103* last week.
Flu: 133, up from 109*
RSV: 301, up from 239*
Flu B is now causing more admissions (53) than H3N2(16) , and is causing 40% of all flu admissions.
*Holiday week

To sum it all up?
Holiday Week data is hard to parse because they're only partial data, but Im worried about Flu B.
This flu season remains well ahead of other recent seasons, so a significant flu B wave could push the total ahead of last year's record setting season.
Flu B levels are really high in Boulder. They're also elevated in Grand Junction. They're not being detected statewide yet, but the levels in Boulder are certainly concerning for that community.

The wastewater situation shows COVID trends holding steady, but they remain mostly decreasing.
Flu A levels remain low.
Flu B is being detected at higher levels.
RSV levels remain slightly elevated.
There are no major indicators in the wastewater, except...
The Flu B wave is easier to see in the positivity data, with the percent of tests positive for Flu B now higher than the peak last year.
Last year's flu season had a very minor Flu B component, so being higher than that is not super concerning. The sharp upturn *IS* concerning.
Hospital Admissions (comparing to initial #s for last week)
Covid: 103, up from 78 last week.
Flu: 109, down slightly from 112
RSV: 239, up from 237
Flu B is now causing more admission than H3N2, and is causing 25% of all flu admissions.
COVID, Flu & RSV in Colorado update, 2/18/26
*Holiday Week
Flu hospitalizations stop dropping as a Flu B wave begins.
RSV slows its climb, though this may be a holiday data issue.
Covid climbs.
*Holiday week initial values often revise upwards more than other weeks.
Not yet. But i can probably check it out.
15.02.2026 14:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeahβ¦ pretty much everyone should seek treatment for flu as early as possible. We dont need another 290 children dying this year of flu because theyre under the impression only the elderly need treatment

Flu B and COVID show some signs of rising.
It is notable that there is a sharp uptick in COVID levels and trends in the Denver area, particularly in the north Metro. Levels remain well below the fall peak.
