It was clear what he meant. Lying prick.
Canβt wait until we beat them at the Etihad and shut him up.

Thereβs literally no other way to take his words than implying bias. Literally no other explanation. Itβs like a murderer saying βyeah, I plunged my knife into their neck 33 times, but I didnβt mean to kill themβ¦β
If anyone believes him Iβve got a bridge to sell you.
Itβs not even that. He makes triple that a week, if not more. Itβs pennies to him.
But still more than theyβve received for 115β¦
Itβs a joke, bur given 115β¦Iβm not surprised. Rodri blatantly lied about not intending to imply bias though. Anyone who buys that while complaining about our manager needs their head examined.

09.03.2026 15:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Nope. Fined Β£80,000. Absolute fucking joke. Theyβve been getting a slate of favourable decisions ever since that rant. Fuck it, Mikel should send one of ours out to say something like that and just eat a fine thatβs not even a weekβs wages.

People saying Rodri should get a fine because players usually receive a fine for this sort of thing miss the point.
What Rodri said was extreme; he didnβt moan about decisions, he tried to claim refs were corrupt.
Secondly, if all you do is fine, managers will send players to do their dirty work.
Yeah, I think the way he describes how Mourinho couldβve handled it is one of my favourite parts. The fact his default response was immediately to blame Vini before heβd even investigated says a lot about him and his attitude towards racism.

Yeah, I agree itβs dumb that accumulation works this way (said so for MLS being suspended yesterday). Either make it so all suspensions are competition specific or accumulation has a single buffer for all comps.
You know this already (but for those who donβt) this is the rule for touchline bans:
lol. All good mate. I wasnβt trying to be a dick about it.

Did you miss the part where it talks about βplayersβ?
Different rules for players and managers. Accumulation rules are 5 for league games for players but 3 for managers. I remember because Mikel complained it was unfair and imbalanced.
Itβs also, ironically, completely wrong. Military personnel serve knowing they may come home in a casket and do it anyway. Itβs why we call it the ultimate sacrifice bc itβs one they take willingly.

City only put 2 past Salford who are a 4th division side.
And they were at the Etihad.
Me too mate, me too. I might be splurging at the end of the month or start of next but for now, no.

Hated him as a player (because he was so bloody good and always tended to score against us), but heβs always been one of the best speakers about the game whenever Iβve heard him talk. Smart, insightful and makes total sense.
This piece is excellent and well worth your time reading.
Thatβs actually not correct. Itβs because itβs the final. Cup finals (the FA Cup is the same) are exempt from touchline bans for accumulation of yellow cards.
08.03.2026 12:59 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm just sick of leaning being factored in. Of course the forward leans forward itβs how he gets momentum for the run and signals the run to his teammate. But if his feet are onside thatβs all that should matter. Even if he uses a different part of his body to score, his feet are what move him.
08.03.2026 12:43 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Some people only consider the money and not things like control, decision-making and coercion.
08.03.2026 02:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I too get that (just realised). So itβs not the TLD.
07.03.2026 20:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wonder if itβs because your TLD is .es and it assumes youβre Spanish based on that?

The only change Iβd like to see is the lines being drawn based on the feet.
One drawn at the heel of the last defender, one drawn at the toe of the forward.
I did think they might play Stones and Khusanov, but I figured itβd be for Nunes (who covers a fair bit of ground) and one of Dias or Guehi would play.
To pick neither and no Rodri is almost like throwing.
You seen the lineup too? A lot more rotation than I expected given the opposition.
07.03.2026 20:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I agree, some limits on how far things can vary should be in place.
07.03.2026 20:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think there are restrictions on pitch quality, and like I said, minimum and maximum sizes, but of course not all stadiums are the same size. Itβs only natural some pitch size variance will occur.
07.03.2026 18:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm sure heβs got some irons in the fire, and as soon as outgoings happen heβs ready to move quick on incomings, but some of the outgoings, if they involve players at the WC, may take longer to get done. Just bc of medicals, contract negotiations etc.
07.03.2026 18:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I agree he probably is a little less dependent on pure pace in behind and a trickier player. I think my point was more that it wasnβt a judgement on their quality as players, which I think isnβt too dissimilar, but other factors. Profile, contract situation, homegrown status even.
07.03.2026 18:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think it was playable, but difficult to play on. Tbf the Emirates pitch hasnβt been its usual carpet self lately (but is obviously better than todayβs pitch).
