I am kind of curious as to whether the Republicans will pick the most extreme versus the more reasonable candidate. I bet extreme wins, but I would love to be wrong.

It would be nice to see the grip of MAGA fading in Texas.

It would be nicer to have a lot of Dems win the General.

And how long before Agent Orange goes on another rant about how they have never done anything for us!

Wow! I’m in Houston and voted on the third day of early voting and strolled right in. But I’m retired and could go at 10 am, so maybe that’s cheating.

Fox reporting, or lack thereof, is basically “fact“ for many Americans.
No network should have that power.

In law school they teach that free speech does not protect yelling “fire” in a crowded theater just to cause panic.

Fox essentially does the same thing. Arguably they started this war.

It gets confusing because for early voting in Texas you can go to any polling location, but for Election Day you have to go to your assigned precinct.

Although why does anyone wait for Election Day? There was two weeks of early voting, with times 7 days a week, and short waits.

Great teeth, though.

Apparently how to notify allies that multimillion dollar jets are going to be flying overhead so don’t shoot them down.

If he was promoting DEI he’d be fired. For this nutball speech he’ll probably get a promotion and special award.

I’ve gone through most of the stages of grief and have come to acceptance.

I hope the US comes back from the wanton destruction of this regime, but it will be decades, even in a perfect world where Republicans are shut out of majority for a prolonged period of time.

So if a Republican state gerrymanders Dem districts out of existence that’s A-OK. But if NY gerrymanders a Republican district out of existence the SCOTUS Republicans say hell no.

In this world of AI, even if someone posted actual photos, Trump would just scream fake, and his followers would believe it.

Maybe that’s their plan. Then argue that the Constitution doesn’t exist any more so ….

I think their stupidity, hubris and lack of foresight has no limits.

If Dems get back in power we should hire some of these Republican “marketers” and pay them a butt load of money to teach us how to sell, bait and switch, gaslight etc, but from a Dem point of view.

Well, Trump told the Republicans not to vote to enact a new immigration bill before the last election, because he would lose a platform to run on.

And even now that he’s been elected he’s not pushing for reform. He just wants performative violence.

Do we really think there is no one else who could possibly be named as the next Ayatollah?

I would love the Iranians to have a real democracy, but a bombing campaign isn’t going to do it.

I guess it’s a bell curve. Most people are live and let live. Some people are super kind and giving, like Mother Theresa. And on the other side of the curve are the hateful MAGA-type people.

I find it strange that the whole country knew that this was likely, but these MAGA performative complainers never said “let’s call an emergency session and state that no war with Iran is authorized.” They let it happen unopposed by Congress.

They would only be illegal if a Dem Prez had done it.

If Khamenei was dumb enough to still be there after seeing all the weaponry that we moved into the area and listening to Trump blather, he deserves to be killed.

Are we going to do a land invasion to go look for him like we did Saddam Hussein?

I bet more money than there is in the world that Vance will say that this is an exception because Iran was an imminent threat and an extremely brilliant orange person said so and must be believed.

Wow! Here in Texas, tons of Republican TV ads blare that they will stop Islamic terrorists and prevent Sharia law from being implemented in Texas (say what?)

But I bet every one of them would vote to endorse a takeover of CNN and partial control by the Saudis to please their orange beloved.

You can do a lot as President if your entire Congressional party has turned belly up. Who’s going to stop him? Who’s going to impeach/convict him?

He’s got almost a year before the new Congress takes over. I bet he figures there will be a way to stop that from happening. Nothing’s stopped him yet.

I remember when they put Ba’ath members on an untouchables list. I have zero political or military experience but even I understood that:

1) many of them joined the party simply to get a job,

2) now you have a bunch of people with connections fighting for survival.

3) it won’t end well.
