Republicans aren’t embarrassed to say that they’ve hated the ACA for ten years, but they have never even introduced a bill to replace it with something better.

They also aren’t embarrassed to say they want to leave Americans uninsured, because Republicans tend to blindly vote Republican anyway.

I wish some super rich Dem would buy a newspaper or radio station and start blasting this type of info out into the world the way they all pile on anything the Dems do.

Allow the Dems to vote to release the Epstein files, and maybe they have a chance to stop the horrible MAGA train.

I guess the Speaker can lie as much as he wants, and as long as he’s doing it as a legislator he cannot be punished for it (except by losing an election.)

It’s obvious that the public is disgusted that Trump is being enabled by Congress and the courts.

If there was a law that everyone getting SNAP benefits who are eligible to vote had to do so, I wonder if they would be treated better.

I’d like to see some statistics on the percentage of wealthy people, middle class people and poorer people who vote.

Someday something will shift and suddenly the media will start telling the truth - so outraged as if nothing outrageous had happened previously. And it will be too late to repair some of the damage.

And then the Republicans will say it was rigged, that undocumented residents voted, etc. Then Mike Johnson will send the House into recess until they can figure out a tactic to fight it.

Totally agree. I kind of wish that if Dems took over they would start suing Fox every time they make blatant, provable lies. Or threaten to take away their license.

I know there’s a million reasons why that would be a bad idea, but they are nothing but a lying propaganda machine.

If Biden did something like that, the Right would have been buying ad space on TV calling him senile.

If he’s going to spend a mint remodeling things, it’s too bad his taste is so tacky.

Someday another administration will remodel in a more tasteful way, and Fox & Co will bellow about the waste.

Wouldn’t it be nice if members of Congress were immediately dismissed if they told a blatant lie to the news media? It would change the whole landscape if members had to point to reasonable research documentation to defend their statements.

One way to stay Speaker - right after your election, send the House to recess forever. Seems like there should be a backstop.

The only reason I watch CBS is for Colbert. Once his show terminates, I will have very little reason to watch it at all.

Once people actually get notices of premium increases they will start to wake up. I just wish it would start in earnest, as that might be the only thing that will get the Republicans to negotiate.

I think that people finally getting those notices, and doing their research for next year’s insurance might be the only thing that lights a fire under Republicans.

We need the wake up call now, not in a few weeks.

Trump said he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and nothing would happen. I think he’s right.

So, this is just another outrage that MAGA will accept. I don’t think they have an outer limit.
