Former Ravens C Tyler Linderbaum is off the board at a whopping $27M AAV, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Raiders are inking him to a 3-year, $81M deal with $60M in guarantees.

He has 139 tackles, 7 INTs (1 INT returned for TD), 13 passes defended and 2 forced fumbles in 32 games over the last two seasons.

Observation: This would appear to signal Kevin Byard may not be returning to Chicago, given they are similar styles of safety.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano is reporting Coby Bryant’s contract with the Bears is 3-years, $40M.

A Super Bowl champion with the Seahawks last season, Seattle drafted him in the 4th round of the NFL Draft in 2022.

The Bears are now signing former Seahawks safety Coby Bryant, according to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

He’s played nose, 3-tech and 5-tech in both 3-4 and 4-3 schemes, which makes him someone that can be a versatile deployment along Dennis Allen’s defensive line next year.

He’s entering his 7th NFL season and checks in at 6’2”, 307 pounds.

Gallimore played 17 games (4 starts) for the Colts last season. Notched 38 tackles and 3.5 sacks with 17 total pressures.

The Chicago Bears are also pursuing Seattle Seahawks safety Coby Bryant, according to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones.

A potential edge piece the Bears could’ve targeted is off the board.

According to Jordan Schultz, the Patriots are signing EDGE Dre’Mont Jones to a 3-year, $39 million deal.

Jones notched 7 sacks and 55 pressures last season, split between the Titans and Rams.

While Trent Williams would be an amazing get for the Bears, they’re currently sitting at $25.3M in cap space, according to Over The Cap.

Unless Williams is willing to significantly restructure his contract (he has a $32M cap hit next season), I don’t think a swing for him is in Chicago’s cards.

According to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Chicago Bears are re-signing defensive end Daniel Hardy to a two-year deal worth close to $5 million with a max value close to $6M with incentives.

In a bit of Chicago baseball news, the White Sox have named Shane Smith their opening day SP.

Smith, their lone all-star rep last season, went 7-8 with a 3.81 ERA in 29 starts during his rookie season and finished strong down the stretch, going 4-1 with a 3.17 ERA in his last 11 starts of 2025.
