Safe to say I will not be returning to @ukge.bsky.social next year, and especially not volunteering to run games for them.

They clearly don't care about the creative industry that made table top gaming exist.

It does annoy me I keep missing the Twitch streams, but I'm looking forward to catching up on VoD

I was wondering what the class concept would be, I can see Necromancer, but I think I need to read the Blood Domain before I can comment further.

Honestly the community have been pretty great with their class ideas that I've seen

With the Blood domain out for Daggerheart (in the Void), how long before the Homebrewers make a Blood/Fear domain class

The main gaming store in Swansea is about to expand and get a bunch more gaming rooms, and I'm going to propose something like this to them.

Opinions needed!

Lets set up a game event in the village. Lets just fundraise, run it for a day in the centre, then have a chill day afterwards, just for gaming and snacks. 1st day: buying, meeting, playing. Local horror stories on the night.

2nd day: chill out, games, movies, community food.

I honestly haven't been before, I missed it this year for I think a wedding or a birthday or something. Hoping to go this coming year

It's amazing how quickly morals disappear in the quest for bigger numbers with some enterprises.

I loved being at UKGE this year, running games for people, looking at beuaitful hand made stuff. Utterly disappointed.

I honestly need to pull my finger out and get the Swansea TTRPG con growing.

It does exist but it's really quite small at the moment, and I wonder whether I could kick it up a notch.

There's no real Wales TTRPG cons sadly

Anyway here's my Okay advice on running Horror, come tell me I'm wrong in the comments I guess.

At other points, characters decide to try and play hero ball, getting themselves killed. They go back for the cat (now I love the cat, but that's not a sensible decision).

Why do people only remember Ripley's - "guys stop doing stupid things" attitude. And not the actual film?

They then don't question the fact that he makes a miraculous recovery, and just decide to have "dinner", not running any further tests. - Stupid decision.

They climb into the vents because why exactly? Let's climb into a confined space against a danger we don't understand! - Stupid decision

I will agree that the "main character" in Ripley is consistently trying to make the right decision. But the entire crew goes out of their way to overrule her.

The horror starts explicitly because someone disobeys logical processes to get the Alien-infected host onto the ship. - Stupid decision

A fascinating comment that's crept up multiple times for me now on my point about "characters in horror films make stupid decisions" in my Horror TTRPG advice video, is people claiming "Alien doesn't do this".

Which is just a total misremebering of the movie.

An update on this. It’s really important. Still no word from UKGE but more people are commenting and I’m seeing that comments are still being hidden.

So I've decided to try something new with Magic Monday next month, and potentially going forward (we'll see).

Along with a D&D version of each item in the month. I'm gonna also do a Daggerheart version of it.

It'll be good practice to work on the design skill. And it's more free stuff for y'all
