T-minus 57 minutes until defense. Goose kept waking me up last night so we have a grand total of 3.5 hours of sleep. I'm ready to be done waiting for this to start. Trying to just remember that I'm going to kick some major ass.

Status update: my advisor thought my dissertation was due to my committee next Friday and not this Friday and apparently also just learned that my defense is on the 7th and not the 14th. So we're both doing great.

Guys, why. Why is the top of my laptop screen flashing white sometimes??? It's ONLY on the laptop screen and not on the other monitor. My laptop isn't dying right??? 30 days before my dissertation is due to my committee is a VERY bad time for my laptop to die. Like cannot begin to express how bad.

This week is so Very. Not in a bad way! Our hot water heater is FINALLY getting replaced on Thursday, charity stream is Saturday, and I SCHEDULED MY DISSERTATION DEFENSE. But also my brain is v overwhelmed, plz send animal pics and tactics to keep me from losing my shit.

Does anyone else like REALLY struggle to keep their eyes focused on their code after a long day of coding or is that just a me thing? I already use dark mode with a colour scheme that typically really helps but the past few days, it's been tough to keep track of where I'm at.
