Last week was an absolute whirlwind that started with seeing a spacecraft going to the Moonβs south pole and ended with getting engaged in Big Bend National Park (I was COMPLETELY surprised tooπ₯Ή)

I really thought we were just escaping the Dallas βblizzardβ but apparently he had other plans ππ₯Ήπ

08.01.2025 16:08 β π 33 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0Itβs the human experience imo. And idk why everyone just keeps thinking something will stick around forever. It never does. Even Bezos said once that he hopes Amazon doesnβt last forever so something better will come along. The problem here is I have to keep starting from scratch π

Anyways I will try my best to post here too bc honestly every social platform is fickle and not guaranteed to last forever (we seem to keep forgetting that)
Yes, I am over here too. Yes, I always forget to post here because
1) I have to admit I donβt understand how this model is viable long-term (bsky is not profitable yet)
2) my engagement is abysmal and as a full-time creator I have to prioritize
So if you want to see me here, plz converse ππ

14.12.2024 02:56 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Arrival (2016) solidified it for me as a young college student studying aerospace engineering
It's no secret that sci-fi has inspired a lot of the tech we have today, and the scientists and engineers building that tech
I think that's so beautiful
Contact (1997) got me interested in space as a kid
Interstellar (2014) hooked me again as a teen when I really needed someone to tell me I could actually have a career in space
But honestly the craziest part is that it likely didn't form by erosion, but rather the surface of Mars CRACKING apart billions of years ago
12.12.2024 20:06 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Grand Canyon might seem large to us, but to a Martian it's actually really small
(ok, that is if Martians existed)
Valles Marineris is the largest canyon in the solar system. It would span the entire length of the US or from the northern tip of Norway down to Sicily
I cover that in my video! :)

NASA has been able to identify the root cause, reproduce the issue, and confirm there won't be any danger to the crew on Artemis II with a slightly altered reentry trajectory
Artemis III is now scheduled for mid-2027 assuming Starship is ready for landing
Artemis II, the first crewed mission back to the Moon since 1972, has been delayed to April 2026, though this isn't a surprising development
The delay is largely due to issues they found with the heat shield during the Artemis I uncrewed test flight back in late 2022 (see pics from NASA below).
