My husband had to go to Africa when I was pregnant with our first. They wanted him to get the smallpox vaccine but wouldn’t let him since I was. I’m glad we still have it for where it’s needed, but it uses a live virus so it’s a bit different than most. Thankfully he made it back unscathed.

Limit travel, especially public modes of transportation, and exposure to others. Protect her & get all recommended vaccines - flu, COVID, RSV, TdAP, etc.

Vaccines are seatbelts. It’s not a guarantee, but you’re a lot more likely to survive with one.
