Heads up Chicago: ICE has apparently been using Rosehill Cemetery as a staging ground.

Staff weren't aware. But it's not a huge place - it wouldn't take a lot of people to make enough noise that management would be pushed to take action & tell agents they're not welcome.

A friend of mine in Chicago just shared a video on IG of an ICE operation near her house. The operation happened just minutes before the neighborhood Halloween parade. ICE used tear gas and multiple parents had to wash their kids' (including toddlers) eyes out.

Context for non-Chicagoans: The median list price for homes in Lincoln Park is $758,133 according to Zillow. It's also 80% white.

I don't think "gate-keeping" is necessarily a bad thing in this day and age. Like yes, I will gladly and willingly recommend places, tools, etc to my friends and family. But I won't go out of my way to shout it out on social media to strangers. Not everything needs to be popularized.
