Thanks for looking. I didn't know there were spurs fans on Bsky until I came across someone's post. I do most of my rants on Xitter.

I've been a fan since the Sheringham, Ginola Lineker days. I've seen the trials and tribulations. I've not been this excited about the Spurs' setup since Poch that's why I'm more critical about every phase of the game bc we finally have owners with ambition.

I've been a huge fan of Thomas Frank when he came through the championship. A lot of fans are so rigid in their willingness to tolerate nuanced discussion. I wouldn't take any other manager over him but there are things we should be able to debate/discuss for the betterment of this club.

Spence is also way better defensively purely because Porro lacks physicality especially for the English game - you think this is a trope and not 100 football pundits have not said the same.

He is mid and a liability when playing against elite wingers. Watch the games when he plays the ilks of a semenyo and tell me he doesn't get cooked. Tell me Udogie won't do way better.

Porro is top 20 in the world and so is Udogie and Spence - that does not mean the 3 can't share time.

Richarlison was Brazil's starting no 9 yet Spurs couldn't wait to get rid of him. Udogie will likely start for Italy if he stays fit.

Let's not take things out of context. I'm advocating for more rotation/platooning. No one is saying Porro should play the majority of league matches, Palhinha most definitely. There should be way more balance between Bentancur and Sarr's time on the pitch.

No one is denying his skill set, yet Udogie was asked to do similarly during his first year yet was applauded for his dual threat abilities. I'm in no way knocking Porro, I think he should start most matches.

Porro has been a defensive liability for 2 years. Many of his mistakes are cleaned up by our pacey centerbacks. He often does not track back or leave gaps in play.
LFC fans use to give TAA stick for lapses but Spurs fan are very protective of PP because we are so lacking in quality overall.

Palhinha is a stand out for what he does. I'm not singling him out whatsoever. I want him to start most matches. Issue is the combination of the double pivot and 3 overall in terms of agility present issues that may not offset up the upside as well as other combinations.

By playing Porro Benta Palhinha all the time we are showing other clubs we are not a top 6 clubs wrt mentality. Sarr and Udogie needs to at minimum platoon more.

The link up play between madders and Son, Kulu and madders had us scoring at will during Ange’s first 10 games. Do we seriously it’s Ange’s technical knauss? We are way underselling the value of quality of players.

Kulu and madders contributed a large portion of goal contributions last year to say they aren’t key is not borne by the evidence. Even if the scheme is not perfect, they are creative and bold enough to provide options organically. We are sorely lacking

Individual play wise, everyone was hoping Xavi would bring the David Silva type creative aspects that in some ways Kudus is doing. It’s not just the setup, but like Sancho, Xavi will need a much longer time to develop. He was literally edged off the ball 1/2 dozen times this match alone.

Sarr needs to start more in place of Bentancur to extend play with his pace/stamina. Porto is a huge defensive liability and doesn't bring enough attacking wise - Udogie and Spence should be getting way more time.

The thing is when you don't have the dynamism of Maddison and Kulu and Xavi is not adapting, then you need the speed and stamina of a Sarr/Biss before he left, to drive the play using force > guile. If Palhinha is needed for solidity then you can't play Benta.
