The latest version of the Senate's BBB is a death sentence for US energy leadership and a giant gift to China.

Like I'm fully serious. I think the party has embraced that one of the major ways to solve the Social Security/Medicare/Medicaid funding cliffs is for poor people to not be able to survive past a certain age, so we don't have to pay for them.

The reason trans kids die when their care is withheld is because the care is lifesaving, not because they are convinced it is.

I didn't even know I could be trans or what puberty blockers were or that trans kids could exist and I barely survived to adulthood.

HRT is a medical need!

And these things can shift a lot, and quickly.

Not quickly enough for kids who can't get care, kids who will be forced to detransition, kids whose families may have to move to continue their access to care, though.

On the Skrmetti decision, I am trying to hold two things at the same time:

1) it's an awful decision - kids will suffer, supportive families will have to make impossible choices.

2) trans and queer people have survived a LOT, even just in my lifetime, and we won't be erased and we won't give up.
