Entirely possible. But would you bet millions on it? No matter how you look at it, it is a gamble. And they would gamble that money to win what? Tens of thousands? Looking at it purely through a business lens, the money Daggerheart might make ideally is a lot less than CR makes right now.

I would expect that they will run a miniseries with Daggerheart from time to time, though. Or maybe use the time freed up by the larger cast/new GM/multiple groups in the long run to start something new and bigger for the game.

Sprawlrunners for Savage Worlds is essentially a system for Shadowrun without outright stating that. Good system if you want a more traditional, tactical, but still fluid system.

That said I have read non-ttrpg books using it in the more general sense, and never really played D&D, so for me the more general meaning is still quite close.

I just did some quick Googling to see if I recalled correctly, and at least Wikipedia agrees with me in that the term "lich" predated D&D quite a bit, but was originally used for in general for undead. Looks like D&D can be credited with the specific creature, though.
