With gas prices soaring, some people might search for cheaper transportation options. In many cites, a bicycle is a cheap and easy way to get around gas free. Give it a try.

A traffic violence story doesn't get more American than this.
A man whose wife was killed crossing the street advocated for a signal and was later killed at the same intersection himself.
Neighbors have been asking for a traffic signal there for 40(!) years.
On NJ Transit on the way home and the train just died.
Just another day/reminder of how “the richest and most powerful nation in the world” cannot do mass transit.
We can afford a war and build concentration camps, but not mass transit.
Stop callinge them "data centers" and starte callinge them "slop peripherals"

The fire was more than a mile away across the river, and although embers can cross water, a fire needs fuel to burn. The golf course was well watered with no dry trees. I know that Gazelles are expensive, but they only use high quality & safe components. Upway sells lightly-used refurbished Gazelles for 1/2 off retail. If you live near their Brooklyn (NYC) or Redondo Beach (LA) stores, you can book test rides before you buy.

Despite significant federal headwinds, US renewables just had a record year.
Notably, 93% of new generation capacity expected to be added to the US grid this year is projected to come from wind, solar and batteries.

Also lol if Adobe, of all companies, breaks the eugenics plagiarism machine with their “structurally hostile” file format

Initially, the MTC planned to migrate Clipper users’ accounts in large batches, but the intensity of the glitches has meant that Cubic has only been able to do the upgrades “on demand,” when customers contact customer service.
Clipper 2 was delayed 3 years, and it could take years to complete implementation.
Unacceptable that <10% of cards have been upgraded. And folks with upgraded cards are experiencing major problems.
MTC must hold Cubic accountable. And ultimately may need to pull out of this disastrous contract.
