“There is no place for political violence in this country” say the politicians using legislation and rhetoric to attack trans people, immigrants, women and BIPOC daily. Just because it’s done with a pen and not a gun doesn’t mean it’s not political violence. Hypocrites. Not that they care.

Authoritarianism is a complicated, multifaceted attack on all the things all at once. I know it feels better to break it down into these narratives, but we have to be capable of grasping what’s going on in order to fight back. It’s a multi-front war.

“Either vote for me, the guy Trump endorses and is trying to rig the race for, or Trump will take over your city” doesn’t make the most sense to me
