Working on this little blackwork piece from Urban Stitches - I need to figure out a color for the background words soon.

It’s bad enough that we’re subsidizing extremely profitable sports teams with our tax dollars to build stadiums, but we’re letting them charge us $17 dollars for a beer and $11 dollars for a damn hotdog at the concession stand?

Enough. Here’s one thing we can do about it.

We got a Walkman and some used cassette tapes for my 14yo at his request. He takes it everywhere with him.

A cross-stitch project worked entirely in metallic beads. Ornate lettering in galvanized steel and a frame in black beads stands out against a very dark purple fabric. The text reads Blasphey! Heresy! and the Ghost (the band) symbol is worked into the bottom of the frame.

Progress update on a fully beaded cross-stitch project: galvanized steel and metallic black beads on deep purple 28ct Logwood Lugana. The ornate “Blasphemy! Heresy!” lettering (inspired by Ghost) has been very satisfying.

Advent day 22 packages. A dark pinkish box with a badger on it. And a large light peach envelope with a variety of Christmas ornaments on it.

5 star shaped floss drops (clear, dark sparkly blue, silver sparkly, light blue, and white) on a key ring.

The "Snow Santa" pattern from Tiny Modernist. A Christmas bauble with Santa inside carrying a sack of presents with forest-like items to accent.

Day 22 of my stitchy advent was full of holiday sparkle. CCS included a floss drop ring with glittery star floss drops, and BNS added the Snowy Santa pattern by Tiny Modernist, featuring Santa inside a glass Christmas bauble.

Day 21 of my stitchy advents brought a festive candy cane fob on a keychain from CCS and a very generous bundle of ten floss skeins from BNS. Always happy to add more stitching staples to the stash.

Pattern (chart blocked) and supplies for a mini-keyring stitch. The pattern is a small cabin on sparkly Aida.

Lambswool 32 ct linen from Wichelt - a very netural beige color.

Day 20 of my stitchy advents brought a cozy pair: a keychain with a mini cabin pattern from CCS and a piece of 32ct Linen from BNS in a lovely warm neutral. Always happy to add beautiful fabric to the stash.

Day 19 advent packages. A small wine-colored box with an ornament on it. A large light blue bag with a sparrow (?) sitting on a leafy tree branch.

Two wood-handled needle threaders. One had an etching of an owl and the other has a fox.

A very large project bag with a winter pine forest covered in snow in the background, and old-fashioned wrought iron lamp and the CS Lewis quote "Every moment more and more of the trees shook off their robes of snow."

Day 19 of my stitchy advents was such a fun one. CCS included two adorable wooden-handled needle threaders etched with a fox and an owl. BNS added a large project bag with a C.S. Lewis winter quote. Loved this day.

Day 18 advent packages - a small red box with some mistletoe on it, and a green bag with some fruit cake (I think) on it.

A small tin with a fox, hedgehog, trees, and other foresty motifs perfect for holding needles or other small crafting supplies. The patter Cardinals Box from Noteworthy Needle for a small thimble storage box. The pattern is of two cardinals perched on a branch and includes the snap together material and a thimble to finish the box.

Day 18 of my stitchy advents felt nicely coordinated. CCS included a small tin for needles and tiny supplies, and BNS added the chart and materials for a thimble holder—plus the thimble itself. I love when the calendars line up like this.

Two advent day 17 packages - one a small rectangular box with some fall leaves on it. The other a medium sized light pinky/peach bag with a Christmas tree on it - the tree is decorated in presents (which is a great idea).

A small tin of Caterpillar Cross Stitch 100% beeswax that states its scented with winter pine essential oils. A fat eighth of Fiber on a Whim linen in the Silver Fox color - a very pretty light grey.

Day 17 of my stitchy advents brought some great basics: thread beeswax from CCS and a fat eighth of 32ct linen in a soft light grey from BNS. Always happy to add high-quality materials to the stash.
