Herobear & The Kid: The Inheritance by Mike Kunkel. Self-published circa 2002 or so. Compiles the first five Herobear comics plus many other extras.

Herobear and the Kid "best friends" bust, limited edition 917/1000. I got this on a business trip to Los Angeles around 2007 I think.

My fondness for HB&K goes way back when Mike was still self-publishing it. Still have these.

Sometimes I think about the theory of the Jesus comeback and methinks chances are he’d just be labeled a loony hobo on crazy pills, specially by his staunchest believers. And turned into a meme.

Page from the web comic Dirk Brodey. Dirk and his assistant Tad land on the moon outside a domed city. Dirk exits the ship in an old diving suit to open an entrance near the ship. Tad want to go to but they only have a diving bell instead of a second suit.

Next page, Dirk finds a way to open the door but once inside the whole entrance collapses behind him, cutting him off from communicating with Tad.

Tad races to get in the diving bell in a desperate attempt to save Dirk. Dirk's okay but Tad has no idea of his status.

Cut to Tad shoving the diving bell across the surface of the moon only to get caught on a rock. Unable to move forward he slumps down in despair. Only then he notices an access panel under the moon dust. Another way in!

I've been slowly trying to rebuild my Dirk Brody webcomic site after it decided to become inoperable a while back. Finally getting to one of my favorite sequences when they finally get to the city on the moon only to get split up by catastrophe.

So many talented folks, friends and opportunities I wouldn't know about otherwise.

Of course perfect it isn't. It's never been. Because humans aren't perfect either. But it's what most of us are on these days. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I ditched Adobe for Affinity quite a while ago, no regrets so far.

But their purchase by Canva (a very pro-AI company) raised some flags.

Best case scenario they´ll just roll out V3, paid upgrade as always, the end.

I seriously hope them not go to subscriptions and/or AI. 🥹

if AI biz was started by $5 trillion stolen in armed robbery from a bank it wouldnt be allowed to continue on. but since it was made by robbing artists of $5t worth of value, its fine.
