We've had proof that UBI, free housing for the homeless, and universal health care work and are cheaper than our current system for years now. Facts do not convince people who don't want to hear them. It doesn't matter if it works or it's cheap, it doesn't make some corporation a billion dollars.

Joking about crab rave aside, I do think this public outpouring of disgust at the death of hated villains is a powerful, useful thing. I think it's good that we do it, and I think, broadly, that it serves three functions.

Aside from how dangerous this is, the idea of your car being a *third* workplace is incredibly depressing.
