It's because the exact date of conception is unknown, even now (unless the woman having fertility treatment). In the past people would've had no idea. There's no other known date to refer to. #TheArchers

I don't like to criticise the SWs, but 2 things about today's episode.
1. Twice it was said Tracy had been in the dairy a few weeks. She's been there 8 days!
2. Again no reference to Tracy working there 25 years ago. No need to go on about it, it could've been covered in 4 lines. #TheArchers

In fact, I can imagine the conversation taking place post-GCSEs. The teacher probably said something like, what a shame, you've got the potential to do so much better if you try, why not go to Borchester College to do resits? And like her niece Emma 9 years later, she said no. #TheArchers

Tracy has previously confessed to spending much of her school days messing around. Colin (ex-dairy) claimed to have had a nervous breakdown trying to teach her maths. The teacher she mentioned today must have seen promise, but I doubt she has any qualifications. #TheArchers

Even 32 years ago there was only one, at 20 weeks. We weren't offered a photo as they didn't have a printer. I couldn't make anything out, I think the resolution is probably better now. #TheArchers

#TheArchers does sometimes plan 20 years in advance, but only in a very overarching sense.
I have often wondered whether the SWs knew Sharon was pregnant when she called at Bridge Farm in March 1998.
The overhyping seems to have passed me by as well.

Maybe all editors treat #TheArchers as their plaything. Sean O'Connor certainly did, and so did William Smethurst by the sound of it, though he was before my time.
Can I ask which editors you have liked, and why?
