I had an immature-type oriole this morning in Mississippi that Iβm trying to string into a Bullockβs Oriole. Iβm looking at the pale undertail (as opposed to orange), the very grey belly, and maybe a line thru the eye? Any opinions vs Baltimore Oriole?

This is a great decision. Bird names should tell us something about the bird itself. I canβt wait for all the awesome new names!

Tomorrow is the last day of our annual DoD PIF steering committee meeting, hosted at Ft. Carson this year. Highlight was Dr. Scott Somershoe spending a day with us to talk about PIJA and declining grassland birds! Plus I picked up my lifer Sage Thrasher, no complaints there
