The Bride! Gives New Life to a Story We Think We Know Sarah shares her review of The Bride! and discusses why it will be a hard movie to top in terms of 2026 releases.

My review for #TheBrideMovie is now live on the site! It's a film that takes risks, and those risks paid off in dividends for me. I really loved this film a lot.

Read on to find out why: sarahstubbssays.com/the-bride-re...

Not watching, but I loooove THE REPLACEMENTS. I’ve seen this so many times, was a USA channel staple. Underrated football movie! Also one of the most random casts that just works: prime Keanu, Gene Hackman, Rhys Ifans, an insane Jon Favraeu, Orlando Jones, Faizon Love • #FThisMovieFest

Every day I’m questioning why we don’t get more modern films in black & white, lotta sauce being left in the bottle. Some gorgeous stuff in ONIBABA 🤌🏽

Two children swim in the pool. Their heads stretch out, twisting and branching until they leave the frame.

A busy pool. Two people presumably swim inside, as their heads have extended into large masses that stretch out into the sky.

Hobbies in big letters I don’t really have any hobbies, having fallen into the class trap of the working creative that is essentially a pile of bills and immediate needs placed gently over a hastily piled patch of grass. Mo...

Haven't been feeling my best this week, but I wrote a little newsletter about needing a hobby, repairing my old iPod, and how the work I used to do helped build comfort in the present.

Park Chan-wook movies always have 2-3 transitions that blow your mind. Shout-out editor Nicolas De Toth for this beauty in STOKER 😮‍💨

It wasn't "cancel culture" when women and people of color got used up, silenced, and dismissed before their careers even began. It only became "cancel culture" when powerful abusers started having established careers momentarily inconvenienced by revelations of what they'd done.

Seeing SCREAM 7 make a bunch of money despite the controversies while THE BONE TEMPLE flops is so disappointing. Like why did they pick January to release it only 6 months after the previous? People spend significantly less money coming outta the holiday season and normies were barely aware of it

A ★★½ review of Now You See Me: Now You Don't (2025) Alright, I’ve always had a soft spot for these movies. They’re ridiculous and that’s the fun of it. Following up 9 years later put the film in an odd place, in which they decided to make it a trilogy ...

Can you believe my longest Letterboxd review is year is on NOW YOU SEE ME: NOW YOU DON’T? 😂 we need to let Rosamund Pike do goofy accents more often haha

I finished my first novel in a decade! Sure I listened to it rather than reading, but it’s progress. Anywho, Frankenstein (1818) is a ripper. Curse of Frankenstein was fine, Cushing’s version of Victor feels like inspiration for Marty Supreme haha
