The Department of Children, Youth and Families stopped processing SNAP applications this week. If the federal government is still shut down on on Tuesday of next week, recipients won't get November benefits, and active or reinstated SNAP cases won't be approved.

I just found out that this government shutdown is going to delay my snap benefits starting in November. Under these circumstances it would be appropriate for all corporations to suspend payment on bills such as house & auto insurance, phone and internet service to protest this government shutdown.

Rely on SNAP? The word is there will be no benefits for the month of November bc the govt shutdown.

My grandson is disabled and gets SNAP benefits. I just got this notice thru the app.
So WTH are people supposed to do?
For a lot of disabled and elderly folks this is their only way to get food. Please make sure to check on your family and neighbors to make sure they are not going hungry.
