La lavandera cascadeña de la foto nos muestra su plumaje invernal , y está posada sobre un tronco costado en sección inclinada . Podemos observar su larga cola , que mueve constantemente hacia arriba y abajo , mientras camina . Justo debajo de este tronco , tengo la charca , y la lavandera se siente muy atrída por el agua, ya que remueve las hojas secas caídas sobre la charca , en busca de pequeños insectos .

An appropriately wet morning in the Netherlands for the anniversary of the 1421 St Elizabeth’s Flood, which flooded parts of Holland and Zeeland — some of which are still under water today.

These panel paintings from 70 years or so later depict the flooded villages and polders around Dordrecht.

Just a reminder, that possibly the oldest piece of palaeoart dates to the Neolithic. The petroglyphs of horned characters with trumpets, recorded on the same rock as a ornithischian footprints (Zagaje Formation) in Poland, might be an early reconstruction of the Jurassic tracemaker.
