I second this! Bruce was the first person to talk to me about a career in Health Economics when I was still an undergrad at Lancaster. He had all the time in the world for my (probably silly) questions and was so encouraging

Thank you so much! It seems like a win-win to direct resources here. It would be interesting to do a follow-up study on CE of the expansion of electives, rather than only looking at existing services, as we didn't include things such as infrastructure investments that could be needed etc

We found that elective surgeries can be very cost-effective (some ICERs between £5-10k) and investing into reducing waitlists for these would be a good use of resources
