Well, here we are, my birthday. Another whole year closer to the grave. While so far I'm not feeling as bad and depressed as I have some years in the past, the day still has me feeling somewhat down. Hoping it doesn't get any worse.

One week until my birthday. I have no plans for the day and don't think I will end up making any. Actually doing my best not to think about it too much. Just thinking about my birthday today has been starting to get me down. Maybe the day itself won't be so bad, we'll have to see...

I have realized that it is now a month until my birthday.

Just as I was about to leave for my trip, got a call from the hotel. Due to a screw up, they are overbooked, and have no room for me, they can only give me a refund. With no place to stay, I couldn't go. So I ended up stuck at home, feeling lonely and miserable.

Well, my plans for the weekend just got fucking ruined.

Adastra by Echo Project To the Stars

So yeah, I'd recommend giving 'Adastra' a try. It's a great gay romance mixed with a political thriller and a dash of sci-fi, with a few explicit sex scenes here and there. It can be found here: echoproject.itch.io/adastra

And it has to be said, Amicus is just damn adorable. Well, except for when he's being absolutely heartbreaking (if you've read Adastra, you probably know the image I'm talking about). I'm even tempted to do something I rarely do and produce some fan art of him at some point.

The one I tried was 'Adastra' as I'd heard good things about it. And I seriously enjoyed it! I got really caught up in the story, characters and world. I found it to be very well written, if perhaps a little slow at the beginning, but ultimately with a lot of depth. And the character art was great.

At least my time resting and recovering recently hasn't been a total waste. I decided to do something different and check out a furry visual novel. After all, I do want to try my hand at making one at some point in the future, so should probably sample what's out there.

I'm doing somewhat better now. Still not 100%, but a lot better than I have been in days. I'm hoping I'll be back to normal before too long. At this point, I am so sick of being sick...

I feel fucking awful. Been kind of low level sick for a few days, but having to do a long night at work last night somehow seems to have made it worse. Doing my best to just rest...
