So far, Trump has given the following reasons for invading Iran:

* They were responsible for stealing the 2020 election

* They were responsible for both assassination attempts

What's next, they shot J.R. Ewing?

Would it be nice if this sentiment was universal?

When checking in to the Amex lounge, the women at the counter told us they have "special brownies" today.

The brownie was tasty, I'll give it that, but it wasn't "special". 😝

Hyperion author Dan Simmons dies from stroke at 77 I went into Hyperion blind, decades ago, knowing almost nothing about it. I was never the same.

A free comic library and a mini art installation from our evening walk. The comic library had about 20 comics, which were a mix of small Indie comics and some bigger stuff from Dark Horse. Those 3 orange things at the bottom of the art installation are bowling balls. Not pictured: the puzzle library

OK article, but horrible headline. Pong wasn't the very first video game by any measure. Not even the first coin operated commercial video game (Computer Space predates it).

Good article, although I'd argue a bit with this bit re: New Edition: "And being the first boy band isn’t an argument for Rock Hall inclusion..."

Definitely not the first boy band.

Early Beatles (arguably), Jackson 5, Osmonds, Menudo...

In case you missed it, Kash Patel took a government funded jet to the Olympics and drank beer with the men's hockey team in the locker room after their win, despite his media rep assuring us he's not at the Olympics.

After 11 years of painstaking research, I've discovered the Seahawks should have handed the ball to Marshawn Lynch on 2nd and goal from the 1 yard line with 26 seconds left in the Super Bowl.

At the very least I hope they're keeping receipts for when The Regime is no longer in power. Arrest every single one of them and let them rot while the cases are figured out. No bail, as they're all flight risks.

Not bad, not bad...but do those flashlights have batteries in them? If so, remove them! Batteries should be free to roll around the junk drawer.

"When paired with AML reporting, such suspicious analysis can quickly lead to the unjust termination of bank accounts."

So, a highly flawed system known for making mistakes can land you on a government watchlist and potentially have your bank accounts terminated.

Despite the TSA shutdown, SLC airport was still operating TSA Pre-Check today. We got here extra early, anticipating long lines, and it was no problem.

For size context, at the show in Oakland, one leg was up against the outfield wall, and the opposite leg was on the pitcher's mound.

We had some time before our flight, so went to the Loveland Aquarium in SLC. As we got close, I saw this huge claw thing, and immediately said: "that looks like the claw from U2's 360 tour" (which I saw in Oakland). Turns out I was right!

Old-fashioned rice cookers are extremely clever
YouTube video by Technology Connections Old-fashioned rice cookers are extremely clever

Speaking of cheap old-fashioned rice cookers, this YouTube video shows just how clever and amazing they actually are:

My take: Yes, you can make rice on the stovetop, but even a basic (cheap) rice cooker is better. If you want the best, though, get a Zojirushi. Perfect every time.

Also, the Arlo app required 2.4Ghz-only Wifi. Would not work with our hybrid 2.4/5 network, making setup much more difficult. Eufy had no such issues.

Also, I should point out, we initially installed an Arlo camera, but had nothing but problems. The Arlo app kept losing it, and it would have to be set up again. Had it replaced, and the new one did the same thing. Eufy has been rock solid.
