Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the Casabtews so can't really compare them. One thing I liked about the Bambino is that for such a small unit, it has a decent steam wand. Certainly not as good as a full size machine, but better than some I've tried.

Used to have the Bambino and loved it. Gave it to my sister when I upgraded to a larger machine. Easy to dial in a good shot.

The only thing my former work is using it for is using GitHub copilot to summarize releases once a week for the release report. It looks for a certain tag. After testing, it hasn't really needed any cleanup.

This wall in the apartment we rented in Split, Croatia, is 1720 years old. It was built in 305 AD as part of Diocletian's Palace.

I always assumed the song Shout (by Tears for Fears) was about Primal Scream Therapy (since the band were very into Janov early on, and their first album had many references).

Turns out it's a protest song.

Seems as fitting as ever in today's climate.

Perhaps they're not supposed to be cancelable, but we're already seeing Trump do things he's not supposed to be able to do, and his complicit Supreme Court is mostly letting him.

This is an old formula used by authoritarian regimes. Stoke chaos and blame scapegoats to justify the use of force.

He wants a response big enough to "justify" declaring martial law, because then the military will be able to make and enforce laws on the spot, and elections can be cancelled. (He especially wants the elections to be cancelled.) He'll keep ramping up the abuse until he gets the response he wants.

Everything he's doing right now with ICE/National Guard is designed to provoke a response that he can use to declare martial law, so that there will not *be* an election.

So polls are useless.

Raid of church leader’s Florida mansion reveals 57 forced laborers, feds say The victims, called β€œarmor bearers” by the church, are threatened with damnation if they fail to meet their quotas, federal officials say.

They sling accusations of cult! sex pest! trafficker! groomer! at everyone else

But it’s always the Christians doing the most heinous shit:

Not just tax credits, but also HOV lane-use stickers. Mine were supposed to be good for a few more years, but Trump axed it as of Oct 1.

I can fathom it. Seems Trump really, really, really likes to hang out with child molesters.

Remember: 99.99% of MAGA accusations against others are actually admissions of their own behaviors.

We need to go back to self printed pamphlets to spread the truth, since the media (including social media) has aligned themselves with the anti-truth fascists.

Their excuse? "It's not an attack because it's true." (It's not true).

Trump admin defiles even the β€œout of office” email auto-reply β€œRadical Left” and β€œDemocrat Senators” come in for attack.

Our county is being run by petulant children. TL;DR - gov agencies are changing workers out of office replies to blame the "Democrat" Senators [sic] for the shutdown, even though it's illegal to use gov email for partisan attacks.

Best part of Google Fi (and the main reason we use it): no such thing as an "International data plan". Data is data, anywhere in the world. It connects automatically wherever you go.

And it keeps getting better! We decided to order something to drink from one of the (non-lounge) bars in YYZ. Went up to the bar: "You have to scan the QR code on your table, we can't serve you directly."

This is what the QR code leads to:

The Priority Pass wait-list system sucks. It's via email instead of text, so you have to keep refreshing the page instead of getting a text when you're up. Also, there's no indication how long the wait might be. How many in front of you? No idea. Amex lounges give an estimate and message you.
