it's complicated to state the obvious but it is frustrating and exhausting to see the same sorts of threads basically every single time they say something about the topic

on one hand i understand that they're in a public position and the things that come with that, but on the other i feel like it's not fair for us to police the way they exist in and talk about their own bodies

lrt i agree, particularly about there being a disconnect. every time one of them says something about their own body the discourse usually isn't far behind. i don't understand why we are allowed to make umpteen "tiny waist" threads but they seem to be prohibited from saying that

we swoon over gifs and trend hashtags about their shoulders. we metaphorically consume their bodies with each photobook + pc. it's a key part of this fandom that we all know and love.

but members, themselves, are relegated to one type of comment on their bodies: self love.

but there is a real disconnect for me when we simultaneously celebrate + fixate on members' bodies/looks and then critique the members' own discourse about their bodies/looks.

everyday armys get on apps and talk about their abs, asses, jawlines, necks, legs, thighs, feet! everything!

ok now that I've said that, I would like to gently push back on posts critiquing NJ's and others' weight-related comments + posts. not because I like them (I don't!) or because I'm pro-dieting (I'm not!). I have lived in a fat Black body my entire life.
