I’ve taught constitutional law to elementary, middle, and high school kids and the ones that terrified me the most were the middle school ones.

When our son was born, we had a short period where he was in day care and our daughter was in preschool. ~$4k a month. That’s the same as our mortgage payment.

The cost of childcare is like the number 1 through 5 top priorities for people in the two higher income brackets. Those are two earner homes and childcare is necessary to enable both parents to work. The lower income levels often have a stay at home parent.

It doesn’t help that our 12 year old daughter is now adult size S.

Funnily enough the fact that AI doesn’t experience anything is a fundamental design choice made partially for safety and partially for resource constraints. And that’s not even getting to the philosophical questions as to whether it can have “experience.”

We bought my son size 7 and 8 clothes for Christmas and none of the size 7 stuff fits him anymore. The 8 is slightly too long pants wise but otherwise fits perfectly. He was size 6 in November.

I would guess that more of the populace supports trans people and that those who don’t are a distinct minority who are very loud and obnoxious.

One seems to have to come as a consequence of the other. If you didn’t have a legal right from the outset, which the court found, then there isn’t any recourse other than to return the money.

My grandpa was a huge opera fan and while he was overseas at the end of World War II, he toured most of the major opera houses in Europe. Everything I know about opera I learned from him.

Technically anybody could recreate the algorithm here, just nobody has really tried to do so where it’s caught on.

It’s an excellent tool for people who are already skilled and can identify when it’s not producing the correct results. I often use it after I have my own drafts and ask it to suggest improvements and what likely arguments against my position are.

Kamala Harris just endorsed and sent out a fundraising email for Talarico which is interesting considering she endorsed Crockett less than a week ago. Granted you support the candidates but I’m wondering why she bothered to endorse in the primary at all.

~33,000,000 people overall. And everybody has stories of knowing two elderly unmarried women (or men) who spent their lives living together and nobody thought it was their business to inquire further.

I have the feeling the Federal Circuit will overturn this. The patent is supposed to describe the metes and bounds of the claim and allowing people to leave stuff out when claiming infringement makes it impossible to design around.
