I guarantee Sauer told them they were going to lose and Miller thinks he knows better.

I’m trying to think of a plausible mechanism for this and am coming up short.

Given his age, acute myeloid leukemia is a possibility, and would explain much.

I’d also like to thank Brad Karp for showing everybody the absolutely wrong way to deal with this thuggish administration. His prior association with Epstein is really just the icing on the cake.

FWIW, I actually went out and paid for an Anthropic subscription for Claude. It’s been super helpful to me noodling through some engineering design stuff related to upgrading my boat, among other things.

War is a secular matter is a pretty ridiculous statement given that the vast majority of wars in history were religious in nature. Plus, pretty sure every single civilian and soldier out there are saying prayers regarding what might happen.

A titan of vaccine development sees his field’s achievements slip away Stanley Plotkin, the 93-year-old "godfather of vaccines," is watching his field’s achievements slip away.

“In a pair of recent interviews with STAT, Plotkin expressed dismay at seeing the achievements of his career & his field slip away. He knows what lies ahead…
“All I can say is that I’m beginning to regret having lived so long —because we’re going downhill,” Plotkin said” @jackiantonovich.bsky.social

Eh, I think the guy has the same depth of thinking as Joe Rogan. Which means he’s just 2 degrees away from whatever conspiracy theory he hears next.

It’s more 2 but perhaps that’s what Maine wants.

I’m beginning to think he just isn’t really that smart. It’s like Joe Rogan deciding to run as a populist.

Which honestly might just be what Maine wants, but thats neither here nor there.

I liken this to the creation of a new abstraction layer between technology and humans. The AI layer. I might have a calendar app that I can dive in and use myself if I’d like to, but it might just be the AI keeping track of everything and I’m just showing up when and where I need to be.

I get this. I also don’t think people understand what’s coming next in terms of “apps” either. The model of people all using the same interfaces (typing, scrolling, boxes to check, etc) is likely to change drastically. The AI won’t just help create the apps, it’s also going to be the one using them.
