The firing of Melissa Barrera from the Scream franchise proves not just a colossal moral failing, but a storytelling one, too. SCREAM 7 *feels* like the seventh film of a horror franchise, something it had miraculously avoided for longer than most. Its opening and climax are easily the lousiest.
