I was honored to spend time this morning talking with the kindergarteners at a local elementary school. We talked about nebulas and Artemis 2! I ❤️ working with younger kids! 🔭

Remembering Challenger — Stellar Visions Memories of a small-town kid when the US space program suffered it’s second major disaster.

40 years since Challenger. I wrote a post about my memories. Please excuse my website. It’s very raw and I’m changing it daily, because I’m not sure where to go with it.

“Insecurity lights!” That’s great! 😁 My neighbor’s entire perimeter is lit like Christmas! I was able to get him to redirect the most offensive ones that trespass onto my place.

The students in my astronomy class are learning about H-R diagrams today. They not only got to draw a graph on the tables but they learned about how color, mass, and temperature are related, as well as what the term”main sequence star” means!

Helped with a star party at a local elementary school last night. I brought three telescopes: ED127 refractor (on Saturn), 10” Dob (Moon), & an S50 on A6/Lemmon. 2 of my astronomy students came to help with the scopes. It was a great evening! 🔭

Yes, but not as close unless you have it on a telescope.
