I just want to learn all the things about my favorite things (plants, ecology, radical feminist theory, indigenous sciences, etc). But academia is not designed for people like me, & so I am left to sort through the vast expanses of public knowledge & hope that what I’m finding is relevant/accurate.

It's obviously important for elected officials to be accountable to voters. However, if I had a job where it took a bunch of strangers calling my office and telling me how to do things for me to make good choices, it would be fair to say I was bad at that job.

I sincerely don’t know why people aren’t physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons

Sometimes I forget that I don’t *have* to be sad all the time.

When I feel good, I am allowed to embrace that feeling. When good happens to/around me, I am allowed to rejoice & revel.

We have to take moments of joy when they are presented to us, otherwise what’s the point of it all?
