think i’m starting to have the memory of a goldfish because why did it happen twice today with the SAME song that i heard it and thought it was good so i went to save it… and i already saved it 😭😭😭

yeah honestly it surprised me when i first started writing on ao3 too!! but now even i write 20k chapters sometimes… it’s just whatever feels right for your story :)

i think there’s no hard rule, it’s just however long you think it should be! my own rule of thumb is that each chapter should be roughly the same length, but sometimes it takes a few chapters for the length to stabilize!

how did i write 12k in two days for a fic but when i try and write my term paper i can barely write 3k in 3 days ahhhhhhhhhh

really need the semester to be over so i can catch up on all the long fics that have been completed recently without feeling guilty for procrastinating my work 🙃

unforeseen problem with writing a fic with no outline is you don’t know where the fic should end (because you have no plan), so it just keeps going on and on forever until what was supposed to be 5k is now 10k and you STILL don’t have an ending
