I’m running low on decaf protein coffee. Will be here Tuesday so just a short term problem. Since it’s Fri I’ve had a LOT more caffeine than usual but my addict brain is SO very happy. Future me will curse past me for her bad decisions. Current me is always a genius. Albeit evil, but what’s 1 word?

I need to remember to weigh the 1st Rainbow mitt tomorrow. I’ll weigh everything again when I’m done but I’m hoping to get an idea of if I’ll have enough left over to make really short socks for myself.

Did another two days on the temp shawl today so I’m all caught up. Now I’ll ignore it again till Monday. Pulled the Rainbow mitt V2.0 out of the Land of Misfit WiPs and got a few rows in. And then I finished the gusset decreases on the 1st Nutcracker. #NightlyProgressReport #Knitting 🧶

On the one hand, it’s nice to feel seen and reading a snarky post about my chronic pain issues certainly does that. On the other… well, fuck.

Rainbow fingerless mitt V1.0. The ribbing on the wrist and fingers is 3x2 and the hand is plain.

V2.0 in progress next to V1.0. The new version has a 2x2 rib on the wrist and then it switches to a 6x2 rib for the hand. The thumb gusset on the 1st one was pretty straight forward since the hand was plain stockinet. On V2 the gusset is between two purl stitches.

Pulled another project from the Land of Misfit WiPs today…the Rainbow fingerless mitts. Finally finished tucking the tails of the 1st version and am getting stitches in on V2.0. Info on the changes is in the alt text. Yarn is by #LichenAndLace

When is the next No Kings march and can it please be in the spring or summer when temps are better? I haven’t gone to one yet because of my chronic pain, but I’m thinking I need to change that next year.
