Remember, the vast majority of UCU staff do not support the highly aggressive position and tactics adopted by the Unite officers who are pushing this dispute. That some members of the UCU NEC have sought to use a staff union for their own ends is quite frankly disgraceful. Resignations must follow

🤔 Unsafe levels of work-related stress? The results of a highly-skewed survey written to deliver a particular result doesn’t really count as solid evidence of stressful working conditions.

🤔 Imposing a return to office working? Hardly, staff have been made aware for the past 3 years that a return to office working would eventually happen.
🤔Breaching agreed procedures? Not really, there’s just no real point in negotiating with bad faith actors.

At Tuesday’s Unite branch meeting there were 102 Unite members in the meeting. Only 53 voted to proceed with the action. No managers were involved.Your majorities are paper thin.
